Venom Vol 2 Issue 1-5 - 15-25



Venom Vol.2:
Issue 1

Plot: Flash is sent to retrieve a Mad Scientist from a war zone in Eastern Europe; the thing is that Jack O’ Lantern has the same mission.
                                                 
Characters:                               
Heroes: Agent Venom  
Villains: Jack O’ Lantern and Crime Master (in the shadows)

Issues Summary:
·         Flash and Lantern clash to retrieve the same objective, in the middle of the battle Venom accidently kills the man that he had to capture.

Repercussion and Lasting effects:
·         Flash blows Lantern’s face off with a grenade

The Bad:  

The Good: A good start for this series.

Rating: 7                                



Issues: 3-5





Plot: Flash has to stop a mysterious group from stealing a large amount of Savage Land Veridium, so it could be used to build weapons and ammunitions for the black market.                  

                                                              

Characters:                               

Heroes:  Agent Venom 

Villains:  Kraven, Crime Master, Jack O’ Lantern

Supporting Cast: Betty Brant
Antagonist: Spider-man

Issues Summary:
·         2 Flash arrives to Savage Land and has the bad luck of crossing paths with Kraven that mistakes him for Spider-man. Flash is barely able to get out alive after his confrontation with Kraven and he secures the Veridium that has been loaded into a helicopter.
·         3 Crime Master discovers Venoms identity, and he blackmails him, so he would give them their Veridium back by kidnapping Betty Brant. Venom rushes to save Betty only to be attacked by Spidy that thinks Venom is responsible for the Kidnapping.
·     4    Spidy saves Betty and Venom gets his butt kicked by Jack O’ Lantern

Repercussions and Lasting effects:
·         Crime Master Knows Venoms Identity
                    
The Bad:  

The Good: Flash has a really hard time doing things right as a hero.

Issue: 5 Fill in , Venom takes down the Human Fly

Issue: 15  
It’s a transition issue for Flash; everything is starting to gear up for the next story arc. Plus you have Eddie Brock hunting down symbiots, he kills Hybrid and Scream. 5

 

Issues: 16
 
Plot: The Human Fly has stepped on Kingpins toes and he send Hobgoblin to make him pay, and Flash finds himself in the odd situation defending the Dirt bag.           
                                                              
Characters:                               
Heroes: Agent Venom  
Villains: Human Fly, Hobgoblin and Kingpin 

Repercussions and Lasting effects: Human Fly escapes from the authorities and in the next issue he joins the Savage Six.

                 
The Good: The human Fly’s characterization is fantastic you just love to hate the guy, this issue is a most read.

Issues: 17-21



Plot: Flash goes after goes after the Crime Master; little does he know that he’s formed a team of D-list villains to take care of him.
                                                 
Characters:                               
Heroes: Venom
Villains: The Savage Six; Crime Master, Jack O’ Lantern, Death Adder, Megatak, Human Fly and Toxin  

Issues Summary:
·         17 Venom hunts Crime Master, to find that he has formed a task force to reinforce his criminal empire. Flash gets his behind kicked pretty badly and barley gets out alive. Eddie Brock is also captured by Crime Master and converted into the new Toxin.  
·         18 Round two with the Savage Six
·         19 Round three
·         20 Flash vs Death Adder
·         21 Flash is finally able to defeat the Savage Six and save Betty.

Repercussions and Lasting effects:
·         Brock probably hates Flash even more.
·         Flash confesses to Betty that he’s Venom.
·         Crime reveals himself to be Betty’s brother.
·         Betty breaks up with flash.              
The Bad:  There isn’t that much backbone to the story, it’s seems like a punch fest fill in the whole story could have been in two or three issues, not 5.

The Good: Venom goes all hardcore cutting Human Fly’s wings.

Issues: 22
Venoms Final showdown with Jack O’ Lantern, during the conflict Flash also deals with his internal demons related the abuse that he receives from his father.

Plot: Venom set out to take the D.A.O down, but he bites more than he can chew when he crosses paths with Hellstorm

Heroes: Venom
Villains:  D.A.O (Lady Red Skulls Lackeys) and Hellstorm

Issues Summary:


Repercussions and Lasting effects:
·         Hellstorm reveals that Venom has the Devils mark (Giving to Flash during the Circle of for arc), is Venom a possible heir to Hells Throne.
